What is fine art school photography?
Fine Art School Portraits is my fresh yet timeless take on school photography. My goal is to provide a custom, boutique experience to all families attending the schools who have chosen Liz Binder Photography to photograph their students.
My service is personal and professional. Unlike large, corporate photography operations, I only take on a select number of western Chicago area schools so that I can provide superior customer service and artistic images. But that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on professionalism, quality, or time.
My aim is to capture the essence of the children in front of the camera. I will never force a smile. No awkward poses or faces, just the authentic child, on the day. The results are genuine and timeless portraits that are far from the traditional cheesy photos we have become accustomed to with forced smiles and unflattering, busy backgrounds. I provide a light and fun experience for your children and take pride in providing an environment where the kids can relax and be themselves, naturally.

To make the process completely seamless, we build secure, online viewing galleries customized to your school's exact structure—whether that means organizing by grade, classroom, homeroom, advisory, or any custom grouping that works best for your administration. On photo day, we take care of all full-service operations, supplying the professional lighting, high-end gear, and personnel needed to keep the schedule running smoothly without disrupting daily learning.
Following the shoot, your school receives high-resolution digital files formatted for yearbooks, websites, school advertising, and student ID databases. We also completely eliminate the customer service burden for your staff by handling 100% of parent inquiries, product questions, and order tracking directly, leaving your front office free to focus on the school day. Above all, we pride ourselves on providing customized services and remain fully flexible and ready to collaborate closely with your administration to meet any unique campus needs.

To ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish, a detailed PDF describing all ordering procedures and photoshoot day preparation is provided to each school to be easily distributed to families well prior to photo day.
Within two weeks of photo day, each child is provided with their own private, password-protected online viewing gallery containing 2 to 5 distinct images, beautifully presented in both color and black and white. This allows the family to choose the exact photos they want to purchase, as opposed to having a photo chosen for them.
Parents can build their own custom orders using our extensive a-la-carte menu, featuring traditional prints, high-end canvas gallery wraps, and archival digital image downloads for future printing. Once orders are placed, all custom products are securely processed online and delivered straight to the school within four weeks of picture day.
